Craftsmanship is the goal at Westwind when it comes to preserving and restoring private yachts.  Wood that is properly cared for will not only look great but will add to your investment.  Teak is a unique wood that is used extensively in the boat building buisness because of it's natural oils which inhibit its tendency to rot.  The problem is that oils accumulate on the survface of the wood turning it gray and with the help of the environment, becoomes black with mold and mildew.  To prevent this from hajppening, you must coat it with a formulated jproduct that seals in the oils but at the same time -allows the wood to breath releasing the moisture.
